How come ibuprofen doesn't come in coated tablets like other NSAIDs?

Hi..For me ibuprofen works quite well but I also got Naproxen as Naprosyn EC tablets from the GP. I think it works better then the Naprosyn sometimes..
How come Ibuprofen doesn't come in EC coated form? Is it deemed safer on the tummy etc..?

My local chemist sells sugar coated ones.
Bright pink ones: by Bristol
I've had white coated ones before too: I think they were something like Cupronel?
Asda does white sugar coated ibuprofen too - I've got some in my cupboard. Asda 200 mg tablets Redish/brown box - although it doesn't say on the box they are coated, inside it tells you they are sugar coated. The outside of the box just says contains Sucrose (which is a hint that they may be coated).
Sugar coating probably breaks down quicker than enteric coating - but I'm not sure.
